CANADIAN TURF NOTES | $ MONTREAL, Que.. June 22. J. B kert has changed his plans about shipping to Hamilton. He has decided to remain at Blue Bonnets and confine his racing to the Montreal and Ottawa meetings. Plageur was taken down with a slight attack of fever this morning and was excused from starting in the fourth race. Charles Primrose, who will act as presiding steward at the Mount Royal meeting, was an arrival from New York. Primrose h?.s been connected in an official capacity with various associations thrnuKhout the country for many years and is making his first appearance at a Montreal track. He succeeds t he late judge Lyle. Jockey II. Kapps, under contract to F. J. K-arns. leaves for New York to have an Of --ration performed on his ear. The Ke-arns st.ilile will be shippe-d to Aqueduct Monday. Kcarns is also bringing the Joe Wormser horses back to New York in his car. Among the distinguished visitors noticed in the club house enclosure was a party from Philadelphia, which comprised Rothwell Sheriff. Miss Loui:.i; Thomson and Donald Ross ai.d las wife, who was a D*j Pont before her marriage. II. R. Freck and Mr. and Mrs. J. Simpson Dean will be up for the meeting at Dorval, Mrs. Dean is a sister of Mrs. Ross. Jockey F. Kinirys services are in great demand at Mount Royal, as is evidenccel from the fact that he had no less than fifty-seven calls to ride on the owning day of that meeting.
