LOST ACNES had an advantage at the start and, showing good speed, moved Into the lead at once, but had to be hard urged near the end to oustay T1MOUK. The latter, away slowly and forced wide throughout, closed a big gap and was going the fastest at the end. HIGH FOOT raced prominently for half a miic and tired. FRIARBELL was given a bad ride and swerved all through the stretch after being taken back jnst before reaching the stretch. ZEVESGOLD was away too poorly to be a factor. BLACK BEETLE was taken back soou after rite start and closed a big gap when hard urged. GRACIOUS GIFT raced prominently throughout, but tired badly in the last sixteenth. STMPUOROSA came steadily in the stretch under good riding and was going gamely at the end. CHRISTIE FLANAGAN showed the most early speed, but tired in the stretch and just lasted for third place. JACK HAWKSLEY suffered some interference in the early stages and came fast in the stretch and would have been third in another stride. ;oi.I EN TRAIL was outrun. SAFETY PIN never figured seriously at any stage. .11 lx.E HAY moved up fast when reaching the lower turn and was about to go into tbe lead when be was suddenly forced back and could never regain bis full stride again.
