GOOD SPORT AT ML ROYAL Close Finishes Mark Wednesdays Racing — Cut Bush Beats Fasciste by a Neck. MONTREAL. Que.. June 26— Three of todays races at Mount Royal Park were at a mile or more. After the heavy rains of the preceding day the track had dried out very appreciably, but was still muddy on the inside and the finishes were all decided along the drier strip in the center of the course. Close finishes were the order of the afternoon and in the best race on the program G. K. Allens Cut Bush was returned the winner in a fighting struggle with Fasciste. The winner scored by a neck, with W. G. Campbells Duckling finishing with a rush to be right on their heels. Dr. Jiggs was the one to set the early pace, but he was finally raced into defeat by Ella M. after going three-quarters. Cut Bush and Fasciste then challenged the leader. Fasciste got in front by a siant margin, turning into the stretch, but Cut Bush came fast around the outside, took command a sixteenth out, and held on gamely to the end. Another close finish came in the four*h, when Jamie was up through the stretch to beat Winifred Trenholms Star Kiner by a neck, with Gilded Youth only the shortest of margins behind. Star King led most of tho way, but was apparently beaten when Gilded Youth took the lead at the turn for home. He came again at the end, but neither of them could withstand the fast finish of Jamie.
