WLSTLHN PRIM ESS. a factor to the stretch turn, sprinted past PINK BLOSSOM into the lead; then l;ew far away snd won in a canter. PINK BLOSSOM set the early pace, but could not withstand the winin r. but held on fairly well after being headed. THUS began slowly, was raced wide on the outside throughout, closed a big gap and finished well. ANNAMATIAN began tiring in the final drive. MY REM. began fast, but dropiied ba k in the first quarter. LILLY WRACK raced well. ALMA VITA Whs outrun. OOTBMXOB SETH, well ridden, was outrun to the stre1 h turn, but then came fast and gamely on the outside of the leaders and got up to outfinisli LUCKY DRIFT. The latter forced a good pace to the stretrh and took the lead, but tired and could not withstand the winner. FORTUNATE MANN, far out of it to the stretch, saved ground and closed a big gap and outgamed SIN SWEEPER. The latter showed early speed, but lost ground and tir d. CHARMING LADY showed the most early speed, ran well to the stret. h and then quit. SNYDER, close up in the early stages, gradually overtook and wrested the lead from MO MENTOUS entering the stretch, withstood a long, hard drive gamely and outlasted VINDICATION. The latter came fast on the inside, saving much ground in the stretch and outgamed BIG STICK. The latter challenged MRS. SNYDER resolutely on the outside in the last eighth, but was held ssfe near th« end. LITTLE CHIP was in trouble In close quarters on the back stretch, hut ran a good race. VICKSBURG raced forwardly. but was in trouble on the inside near the last eighth, having been knocked back vhila in close quarters. LADY EMBLEM raced well to the stretch, but tired. SPANISH ASTER, hard ridden, saved ground on the inside, disposing of the others when reaching the far turn, challenged the winner gamely, but was not good enough. ISOARD began gaining rapidly in the last quarter, closed up much ground and outlasted WRENCH. The latter raced well to the stretch before tiring. BOURBON tired in the last sixteenth. RUSSELL GARDNER, under restraint for the first three-quarters, began gaining rapidly thereafter, worked his way up to the leaders and got up to outlast HARPOON. HARPOON moved up fast entering the stretch, took the lead from PLAY HOUR, but tired and gave way at the end. LORD VALENTINE raced forwardly all the way aud held on fairly well in the final drive. PLAY HOUR tired badly after showing early speed. CRAFTY SAINT quit. SUSIE PAL was given an easy race after being practically left at the post.
