PRINCESS TELL, quickest to begin, displayed excellent speed in the going and held on well in the final drive. BBAXDON DABE, in close attendance of the leader all the way, made a game effort in tha stretch, but tired. MARCllErR, shuffled back after the start, saved ground throughout and closed a big gap. TUSCAN, favoring the going and running to liis best form, set a steady pace, shook off MUTUAL FBIENI rounding the tnrn, was rated in front to the eighth pole, where he steadily drew clear when called npou, but Benick took no chance and rode him ont to the end. COLUMBUS, prominent all the way. moved np fast entering the stretch, but was unable to keep pace with the winner in the stretch. GUILDER was outrun in the early stages, saved ground entering the stretch and. closing steadily, wore down MUTUAL FRIEND in the final drive. The latter displayed a flash of early speed, but began to tire after going a hall mile. CALOME raced evenly. The last three horses at the end were not persevered with during any part of the race. JUDGE BARTLETT, on the outside of the leader throughout, forced a steady pace, closed gamely in the final eighth and got up to win in the last stride. ALGOL displayed speed and, rated in front in the early running, drew clear at the eighth post, but tired in the last sixteenth. STUPENDOUS moved c i up steadily after leaving the hack stretch and finished gamely in the stretch drive, but conld not over- haul the leaders. FRANK FULLEN. far back in the first half mile, closed a big gap after straightening j out in the stretch and was going fnt:st of all in the closing strides. HYPNOTISM, well up in the early stages, tired in the final quarter mile. ELIZABETH BOLLA tired after half a mile. DINAH DID UPSET, racing in her best form, followed the pace closely all the way, responded gamely when straightened out in the stretch and wore down PENNANT LASS in the final strides. The latter set a fast pace in the going, drew away on the stretch turn, hut tired in the final eighth and was unable to withstand the challenge of the winner. DELLE OK GOVANS gradually improved her position and shook off RUEFUL in the stretch. The latter tired. GAMI.OL showed good early speed, but tired as if short after going a half mile. "ANNAPOLIS moved up rapidly on the outside of the leaders leaving the back stretch and, racing ARCTURUS into defeat rounding the turn, drew clear at the eighth post and held STItONGIIEAHT safe at the end. The latter began quickly, but was taken under stout restraint and followed the lender under a pull in the first half mile, but was blocked sharply when AXNAPOL1S moved into the lead on the outside at the half-mile post and dropped back, but came again in the final eighth under punishment and wore down ARCTURUS in the closing strides. Quackenbnsh filed a claim of foul against the winner, but it was disallowed. AltCTUUUS assumed an easy lead in the first eighth and, rated in front, hid on well in the final drive.
