HAVRE DE GRACE STATISTICS , j r Vander Pool Leading Money- Winning Horse, With 2,250. 1 i r Seagram Stable Heads "Winning Owner List "With Total of 2,525 "Workman Rides Sixteen "Winners. s , 1 A The Harford Agricultural and Breeders j Association enjoyed one of the most success- I ful meetings in its history at Havre Cj Grace from April 14 to April 26, a period of twelve j racing days. During that time the organi- C zation distributed 57,450 among winning owners and staged four stake races, the Har- ford Handicap, Philadelphia Handicap, Aber- j deen and Chesapeake Stakes. In all, eighty- four races were decided, and the daily aver- I age distribution was 3,120.83. Four owners accounted for 510,000 or more each, the Seagram Stable leading with money earnings of 12,525, the fruits of three vie- i tories and one second place. Mrs. M. P. Allen was close behind witli 2,250, while Mrs. O. Chaneys total was 0,550, and C. H. j Pierces 0,200. G. D. Wideners horses earned ,772, H. P. Whitneys ,675, Glen Riddle Farm Stable, ,450, and S. Ross i ,450. J The brilliant juvenile Vander Pool scored 3 in the Aberdeen Stakes, the richest race of the meeting, and earned 2,250, which placed him at the head, of the money winning horses. Sweet Sentiment, which furnished a surprise j in the Chesapeake Stakes by defeating Miehi- i gan Boy, Swinfield, Ned O., Crazy Coot and -other Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes eligibles, won twice and earned 1,150, of which 0,150 represented first money in the , Chesapeake Stakes. The Heathen, victor in the Harford Handicap and third in another race, won 0,200, while Inception, winner of 1 ,the Philadelphia Handicap, was credited with earnings of ,S00. The remaining money ; winning horses had sums ranging from ,S50 downward to 50. P. Workman romped away with riding I honors, something he has made a habit of during recent years at Havre de Grace. He ; piloted sixteen winners to lead the jockeys, . while J. Eaby, in second place, scored with eight of his mounts. G. Quackenbush had seven winners, A. Robertson and F. Coltiletti six and S. Renick and P. McGinnis four each. W. F. Mulholland saddled seven winners and took the training honors. P. M.
