! ! i i : : : ; ,: ; ; RESERVATIONS AT WOODBINE Requests for Nearly 500 Stalls Already Received by the Ontario Jockey Club. TORONTO, Ont, April 29. The demands for accommodation at Woodbine Park this spring and the steady arrival of .horses for the past week or so assures there will be racing material in abundance for the spring meeting. A great number of Canadian owners have already taken up quarters at the track; in fact some of the smaller establishments wintered there, and next week-end should see all in from the farms, for the track is shaping up now and fast moves will soon be the order. Stall reservations number , close to 500 already. By the time all the Canadian stables have put in an appearance the influx from Maryland, New York and other points should be started, for many like to get hero a couple of weeks in advance of the opening to settle away and get the stock acclimated. Admiral Grayson and Samuel Ross have asked for fifteen stalls ; Willis Sharpe Kilmer, 12 ; Richard Pending, 9 ; R. E. Potts. 4 ; W. J. Salmons stock will occupy an entire block of stalls ; Captain Walker advises he is bringing a carload ; C. L. Whiting, 15 ; W. G. Wilson, 13; II. G. Bedwell, 24; H. Neusteter, 10, and when the balance of the Hatch racers arrive that stable will take up an entire barn. EXPECTED ABOUT MAY 1. The Seagram Stable will occupy their customary three blocks at the east end of the track and it is expected the division at the farm will put in an appearance about May 1, to be augmented later by those racing in United States at the present time. J. E. Smallman has several in quarters i at the usual location to. the right, just inside the western gate, and when those being raced by George Alexander arrive this stable will occupy practically the entire barn. The Thorncliffe Stable has asked for fifteen stalls and will ship down from the new farm at Thornhill about the end of this week or the beginning of next. J. C. Fletcher has asked for sixteen rcs-er-ations. R. H. New shipped fifteen head in Tuesday morning. R. S. McLaughlin, motor magnate, who is assembling" a pretentious slable, has five two-year-olds at the course and expects a steeplechaser, Capa-lan, from Kentucky shortly. The Riverdale Stable occupies twelve stalls ; Harry Giddings charges, the property of various owners, take up fourteen stalls ; J. E. Bulmer, 7 ; Graver, 4 ; A. Brent, 4 ; W. A. Taylor, 4; C. Crooks, 4 ; R. S. Mclntyre, 3 ; G. Hardy,. 5 ; F. McElroy, 4 ; B. Alexander, 3 ; W. Russell, 9 ; J. Whyte, 2 ; C. S. Mitchell, C, F. W. Callaghan, 1 ; Lester Davies, 7 ; R. R. MacKay, 5 ; W. J. Skene, 4 ; G. Sparks, 1; G. Elliot, 4; Mrs. C. A. Muir, 4.
