AUSTRALIAN JOCKEYS FEAT Six Avinners in one day is a riding feat rarely accomplished even at small country meetings, Avhere fields are small, and a good horseman gets unusual chances. But to accomplish it on a Sydney course, in opposition to all the best riders of the state, jockey E. Bartle had to do something that had never been done before in this country. The best previously was J. Tooheys five in one day at Canterbury. Bartles jockeyship AA-as undoubtedly the feature of the HaAvkesbury Clubs meeting at Moorefield, March 22. He Avas well-nigh invincible, as in eight rides he scored six victories and a second, his other mount, Lebanon, I finishing fourth. Sydney Referee.
