j . , " j ; PIMLICO TURF NOTES t g BALTIMORE, Md., April 29. Jockeys C. McCrossen, R. Townrow and G. Riley returned to Kentucky. Lloyd Gentry of the H. C. Hatch establishment announced that arrangements had been made to ship the horses that his employer has at Churchill Downs to Woodbine Park next week. Some of the best moves shown this morning were Armageddon, one mile in 1:45, and Sweet Sentiment, in 1:49 ; Snowflake and Black Diamond worked a mile and an eighth in 1 :59 ; Skid, a mile and a quarter in 2 :12, and Negof ille in 2 :13. Bobashela and Woodcraft went a half mile in :48. Wrackell has been put on the schooling list. The scratch time at Pimlico has been set at S oclock, standard time. Donald Yates, whose stable is at Timonium, announced that he was shipping Shasta Oak and Little Rover to Hagerstown. W. C. Westmoreland, L. Christ and J. J. McCafferty, who have their horses at Timonium, will entrain for Montreal next week. Before- leaving Cuba McCafferty purchased the mare Frances Cooper. L. Feustel wired that he was shipping a division of his stable over from New York. The. outfit is due to arrive in the. morning. Several stables are shipping from Havre de Grace, to Pimlico. They will . include the horses of W. J. Baird and E. J. Holland. The horses that race for Mrs. Davis Dallas ODell got in this morning from her place at Penn Park, Pennsylvania. A majority of them are jumpers. Steeplechase jockey Pat Donohue came over from "Belmont Park to ride the horses that the , Dorwood Stable " will race through the field, at Pimlico. Donohue had his first mount this afternoon when he rode Stalker. Joe Bauer is bringing Dr. T. M. Cassidys Crack Brigade from New York to fiil liis engagement in the Preakness. Gallant Fox and Desert Light, which are also Preakness eligibles, are coming on. General manager Daiger reports that there are 150 steeplechasers on the grounds. Many of these horses will be shipped to Toronto at the conclusion of the meeting to take part in the racing at the Woodbine. Charlie Douglas, who has been connected with the Worthington Valley1 L-nm in de-, veloping steeplechasers for the past two years, has severed his connection with that establishment and taken over the horses that race for T. W. Durant of Monkton, Md. -
