W. C. MOONEY DIES SUDDENLY AURORA, 111., May 11.— W. C. Bill Mooney, one of the valets at Exposition Park, died suddenly Saturday night at his quarters in Chicago. Mooney was a veteran Of the turf, having served on tracks for jaany years as exercise boy, jockey, trainer andnd valet. He entered racing in 1887, and has been connected with it ever since. Mooney, who was 57 years old and a native Of Lexington, performed his duties in the jockeys room on Saturday. A collection taken up today by Eddie Thomas to defray funeral expenses, met with a generous Response.
