HOGANS DANCE, while linishing well, did not threaten the winner. SADDLE SKIRTS improved her position in the last quarter. BRIDEGROOM, shuffled back at the start and a trailer to the Stretch, closed a big gap in the stretch. SINCERELY and FOXBOLT tired. DOUBLE CHIN saved ground on the stretch turn and closed a gap in the last quarter. SOUTH PARK ran out on the stretch turn. R. K. GIRLS saddle slipped leaving the back stretch and she was eased back. BLACK LIGHTNING tired after racing into contention. TRANSCENDENT began quickly from an inside post position and, after leading from the start, held on gamely to withstand the closing challenge of ABSTAIN. The latter finished fast in the last eighth and was gaining rapidly. ADELAIDE N. tired near the end after racing close to the winner in the early stages. WATAUGUA made up some ground in the stretch. FOREBEC moved up on even terms with the winner approaching the last turn, but tired badly in the last eighth. SWOOP- was sharply shut off on the far turn. WANDERING MINSTREL tired.
