TRANTER READY FOR SALES Auctioneer States Interest is Keen in Coming Himyar, Cochran and Other Lexington Vendues. LEXINGTON, Ky., May 11.— Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Tranter arrived this morning from New York. Mr. Tranter, who is directing the sales of thoroughbreds belonging to the Himyar Stud, and Phil T. Chinn Thursday, various breeders and the Gif-ford A. Cochran estate, which will be held on Thursday and Friday nights, saya interest in the forthcoming vendues is greater than he expected due to the general depression existing over the country for some time. "I am expecting a large attendance," he said, "and the bidding will be lively for the most desirable ones as it always is. But I am expecting that it will not be so brisk for the others and that many bargains will be had by those with foresight enough to invest." Mr. Tranter stated that all of the preliminary arrangements have been made for the sales and that there will be no misses or delays. Everything will be on schedule.
