* « L J » A " ■ G b E n 1 s c *j g s J. ri 0 a at t a f -] I f LADY TEDDY FOR LASSIE STAKE Lady Teddy, which won away off at the first asking at Washington Park last Wednesday, is the candidate of the Three Ds Stable for the Lassie Stakes revival, which should gross upward of 0,000 at Arlington Park, July 8, and pay its winner close to 9,000. Lady Teddy is a daughter of Sir Gallahad III., daddy Of Gallant Fox, also of Galaday, another brisk two-year-old filly of 1929, and Betty Derr, the feminine wonder of the spring meetings of last year. She is called Lady Teddy because Teddy, a son of Ajax, sired her daddy in France. Teddy, recently purchased by Willis Armstrong, of ew Jersey, and Kenneth Gilpin, of Virginia, is coming overseas to begin stud service next winter at Gilpins Kentmere Farm, one of the thriving thoroughbred nurseries in Virginia. Lady Teddy was a 6,500 yearling. The only filly of last summers August sales Saratoga to bring more was a daughter of Sir Galahad III. and Starflight, and own sister of Insco, for which Griffin Watkins, of Alton, 111., paid 0,000. This one is called Gala Flight. She is a Lassie eligible, too, but hasnt raced so far.
