J , , i , THE NUT WORKS FAST MILE CRETE, 111., June 16.— Trainer Jack Mid-• dleton, who has exercised much skill and patience in an attempt to return the Warm Stables The Nut, which bowed last year, to racing condition, had some reward when the son of Mad Hatter pulled up in satis-i factory condition after working a mile in , 1:42% at Lincoln Fields. There is a chance that The Nut will be a starter in the Francis S. Peabody Memorial Handicap.
