I DUFFERIN PARK NOTES | e $ TORONTO, Ont., June 16. A division of the H. Giddings string that was left at Woodbine will be sent to Hamil-■ ton within the next few days. The R. McLaughlin Stable will also be sent to the same point. The four-year-old Gilded Casino has developed a slight cough, and it is doubtful whether the Hogarth plater will be seen in action during the Dufferin meeting. It developed that J. A. Smith acquired the two Canadian-breds British Candy and Mananna, not W. G. Campbell as reported. The horses were turned over to Mr. Campbell by the Thorncliffe Stable for delivery to Mr. Smith. Apprentice W. Magner departed for his home in Chicago to rest up until the opening of the Kenilworth meeting. H. G. Bedwell is back superintending the : training of his big string after a few days visit to his home in Savage, Md. Irish Maiden, Yankee Doodle, Wise Seller, ■ Dickey Bird and a recently acquired two-year-old colt by Catalan, the property of B. S. Michell which have been quartered at : Woodbine, will be vanned to Hamilton 1 Wednesday morning. Ned Henderson shipped the Fox Chapel 1 Farm Stable to Arlington Park Monday night. Included in the shipment were the ■ two crack steeplechasers Saradanesa and I Libertin, both stake winners during the ! Woodbine meeting. Conrad, a two-year-old in the Wild Rose Stable, while being exercised by jockey Stanley Stretton, broke through the inside rail. : The juvenile suffered cuts and bruises to his 5 shoulders. Jockey Frank Russell, who was severely injured at Fort Erie last summer, has fully r recovered and plans to resume riding at the i coming Fort Erie meeting. C. Wells disposed of the Canadian-bred Cloth Hall to J. A. Day of Weston. Mr. Day r will use him as a saddle horse. Judge M. N. Macfarlane distributed condition - books for Devonshires first summer r meeting, which opens July 11 and continues until July 18. There will be no purse of less 3 than 00. Ten races in the book are exclusively - for horses foaled in Canada; also, , several are framed for horses owned in i Canada.
