NORWALK, away forwardly and showing ability in the going, took command leaving the back stretch and, drawing clear, was under pressure near the end. PROWESS began quickly and was hard hustled all the way. BOSTON ROSE was unable to keep up with the leaders and had to be hard ridden tp withstand BUDGE. The latter, away very slowly, finished wkh a rush. FORTUNATE ONE also began very slowlv, but reached the others with high speed. DADS BOY was eased up when he began to flounder. SARATOGA MAJE, forwardly placed, went to the outside when challenging the pacemaker, took the lead in the last sixteenth and had enough in reserve to withstand PRINCE PETER. The latter began slowly, circled the others and finished gamely. CRIMSAL, rated along under light restraint, shook off PLEDGE and fought it out gamely. SCOTT began well, but was unable to keep up, although closing eamely. PLEDGE tired in the drive. SUNNY STAR was made too much use of to reach contention. PASS IN REVIEW was never a factor. The latter worked his way up on the outside and finished fastest of all. ORE closed with a belated rush, MISS GAIETY II. was racing stoutlv at the end. OPTICAL quit. GOELAND quit early. ELIZABETH, following the pacemaker, took command when entering the stretch, but could not resist the winners effort. AGNES SOREL made up ground. HIGH PLAYER established the early pace under sufferance, and tired after seven-eighths. STERN CHASER was messed about and, kept in the deeper footing earlv. He raced with bandages all around. TRANSLUCENT, under restraint while setting the pace, was guided wide throughout and tired. DYNAMITE challenged when leaving the back stretch, but tired badly thereafter. OSCAR raced well.
