He came back after winning the ,419.15 mutuel the other day to hold one of the winner tickets on Wednesdays double, which paid 37.15. William M. Ncrthey, on receipt of a telegram that George Pepper, the old time horseman, was to be operated upon tomorrow, made a hurried departure for Toronto. Pepper has been ill for some time.
