iKENILWORTH PURSE VALUES None Less Than ,000, With Special Events Ranging From ,200 to ,500. WINDSOR, Ont., June 19.— There has been no curtailing in the money distribution for winning owners at the inaugural meeting at the Kenilworth Jockey Club the week of June 27 to July 4. No purse has an added value less than ,000, while the handicaps and special events will be worth from ,200 to ,500, there being at least one of these handicaps on each card during the seven days of racing. The same liberal purse distribution will obtain during the second week at Kenilworth, July 25 to August 1. Manager Woolatt promises attractive cards for the horsemen at Devonshire July 11 to July 18, and the meeting at the same track during August. The feature event on the inaugural card, Saturday, June 27, will be the Kenilworth Handicap, at a mile and a sixteenth, with ,500 added. There is excellent handicap material racing in Canada this season and there will be no dearth in number of horses of the better class at the Windsor course during the summer. It is expected that in the neighborhood of 350 horses will arrive at Kenilworth from the Toronto tracks next week, in addition to some noteworthy arrivals from the Chicago and Kentucky tracks. With four weeks of racing guaranteed at Windsor the next two months, the horse colony at both Kenilworth and Devonshire will be equal to the best in quality and as numerous as has been seen at the two tracks in recent years. In addition to the Kenilworth Handicap there will be two other long distance races decided on the opening day, one at a mile and seventy yards, and the other at a mile and three-sixteenths. The inaugural dash, at five furlongs, will attract a field of the best two-year-olds at the track, while the Walkerville Purse is framed for the Canadian-bred sprinting division. To complete a well balanced card, there will be included a high class sprinting dash, at three-quarters of a mile, and a race at seven furlongs. - • i,
