REDUCE TROPICAL PURSES MIAMI, Fla., Feb. 20 For the second Tropical Park meeting of the Gables Racing Association, which is to begin February 29, there has been a slight reduction in purse values to meet the existing economic conditions. There will be no purse of a less value than 00 and they will range to ,000 with a daily distribution of ,800. In the scaling of the purses there will be one race a day of ,000 value, except on two days, according to the book shortly to be issued. On those days the top purse is 00 and the total distribution is ,700, but on each occasion the average is maintained by a distribution of ,900 the following day of racing.
