I FAIR GROUNDS TURF NOTES I1 . Harold Tinkers apprenticeship terminated yesterday, a year from the day he rode Shasta Prune to his first victory here last winter. Frank Seremba purchased another horse from E. K. Bryson, when he closed for the sprinter Honeyman Friday. Jockey E. Level was out and around today for the first time since undergoing an operation, but is fearful that he may have to submit to another. Frank Swain arrived from Louisville for a brief visit and returns to Churchill Downs, where he has the horses of F. M. Grabner, Tuesday. Jockey Carl Meyer, his wife and brother, Hurley, leave for Louisville Monday. Carl may sign with one of the stables there. C. E. Gross, acting- for Knebelkamp and Morris, sold the three-year-old filly Mildred Watkins to J. Manale, local patron. Gross reported that the two-year-old colt by Pai-cines or Sir Peter Bit o Glory in the big string he is training for Knebelkamp and Morris will be fired and reserved for fall racing. Lieut. Russell, owned by R. Gallet of Chicago, came out of his last trial in ailing condition and will be inactive for some time. W. P. Gaines left for Kansas City to attend the funeral of his father, who died yesterday at 81 years of age, following a short illness.
