lT MARYLAND TURF NOTES . : Jockey Tommy Kenwood, contract rider for P. E. Fitzgerald arrived in Baltimore from his home in Montreal. He kept fit by indulging in ice skating matches, being one of the best junior skaters in the dominion. Jockey George" Ellis, who is now in Miami, has severed his connections with the W. J. Ziegler, Jr., stable. It is understood that Ellis contract, which called for ,500 per month salary a year ago, was cut in half, which caused him to look elsewhere for a job. Jockey Manny Berg, who spent part of the winter in Cuba, has signed with Captain P. M. Walker, Virginia breeder. Walker has thirty-two horses in training at Pimlico. Blair C. Seeds, president of the Cambria County Fair, "which formerly conducted flat racing in July and September at Ebensburg, Pa., sends word that his association will offer trotting races during its September fair. A Maryland-owned horse at Pimlico worked three furlongs several mornings ago in :3. This speed test indicates that track superintendent John Ryan has the Hill Top course in excellent condition. -.-
