LE MAR FARM HORSES ARRIVE Fourteen, Including Madwind, Will Race ai Bainbridge Park — Our Fancy in Derby. CLEVELAND, Ohio, May 18.— There was increased activity at Bainbridge Park with the arrival of three carloads of horses from Kentucky and a van load from Aurora. Four additional cars wer i reported in from Illinois, and track superintendent William Faber said he had word that twenty more cars were en route from various sectors. The task of placing the horses has been made difficult with the unannounced arrival of several stables which have not had reservations and superintendent Faber is insisting that all stables be sure of reservations before shipping. Madwind, Ohio Derby candidate, headed a list of fourteen horses of the Le Mar Stock Farm, which are trained by Mose Lowenstein. All shipped in good shape and were unloaded at Bainbridge. The horses of J. C. Ellis, trained by Olin Johnson, were also unloaded. The list includes Leros, Honey Locust, Ellice, Jack Howe, Playfellows Dream, Black Stockings, Radio Service and three two-year-olds. There was a mixed car which included the horses of A. V. Thomas and W. J. Walsh. Jewell Brothers vanned five horses over from Aurora, My Carolyne, Mrs. Foster, Captains Daughter and Union W., being among the lot. In a long distance conversation with Rome Respess, racing secretary Julius Reeder obtained the nomination of the good filly, Our Fancy, for the Ohio State Derby and was to get additional word on the shipment of fourteen horses belonging to Respess. Other Ohio Derby nominations came from Johnny Schorr, of the Three Ds Stock Farm, who nominated Texas Knight and Rowdy Boy. The Sagamore Stable wired they were shipping five from Belmont Park on Wednesday. An office was opened at the Thistle Down track, in charge of Richard Leigh, where entries will be received each morning up to ten oclock. Charles Nuckols nominated Cousin Joe for the Bainbridge Inaugural to be run Saturday, the feature of opening day.
