FAIRBROOM closed gamely. MESTALLUP raced green. HOLLANDAISE, shuffled back at the start, finished well. SPOT CREST was outrun. ALL ROSES showed brief early speed. ATTIC BIRD was always outrun. The latter forced to work his way through, closed with a belated rush. -SHIVA went into contention with a rush, but was unable to menace the first two. PLAIN BEN, unruly at the post, set the pace for seven-eighths, then tired. GAY SPIRIT raced well. SLEEPY BELLE showed speed. INDIAN DANCE and DUNRODE tired badly. BRIGHT BEAUTY was never a factor. ENRO. racing in four, bandages, closed a gap. STAR PLAY tired badly in the last eighth. BUD BROOM bolted to the outside, when racing with the leaders entering the back stretch.
