I BURGOO KINGS BRIEF j J TURF CAREER ENDED - ------------ NEW YORK, N. Y June 13. Burgoo King, winner of both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness for Edward R. Bradley, his breeder, is definitely out of training for the year and will be shipped back to Colonel Bradleys Idle Hour Farm in Kentucky. A final diagnosis of his injured near foreleg revealed that the sheath of a tendon was so badly injured there was no hope of training him again this year. After a long rest at the Idle Hour Farm there is a possibility of his being- brought back next year, as "Dick" Thompson brought back Blue Larkspur after a similar injury, but it is only a hope. With the elimination of Burgoo King it leaves the stable without a three-year-old of importance unless the filly Boiling Water should show a better form than she has displayed up to this time. Brother Joe, which was backed in the winter book to win the Kentucky Derby by Mr. Bradley, went amiss before the running of the Kentucky classic and Burgoo King proved a worthy substitute. Brother Joe has been at Idle Hour Farm since he went amiss and now he is to be joined by his illustrious stablemate.
