1 LATONIA TURF NOTES Johnny Daniels, trainer of the Southland Stable, is negotiating for a call on the services of Willie Garner for the Latonia meeting. . f R. L. Stivers arrived from Lexington to inspect the horses he has here in charge of A. Hill. Stivers expects to remain until the arrival of the horses he has at Bainbridge in charge of Beckham Stivers. The horses which remained at Louisville at the close of the Downs meeting .are ex pected from that point this week. In the large shipment will be four, the property of J. J. Flanigan; R. J. Wilkerson, with five of his own and J. P. ONeil; IP. P. Letellier ten; R. P. Brooks, five; G. V. Barnes, five and Lon Jones, eight. Russell Sweeney, resident manager of the Latonia Jockey Club, is working on the government admission tax which will go into effect before the opening of the Latonia meeting. According to present plans, booths will be, placed at every gate for the payment of the tax.
