JOCKEY SM00T INJURED NEW YORK, N. Y., June 13. Steeplechase jockey Charlie Smoot suffered a bad fracture above the knee on the right leg when Mrs. Gwladys Whitneys Spinner fell in the second race at the United Hunts meeting Saturday. He was removed to the Mary Immaculate Conception Hospital in Jamaica.
