DEATH TAKES J. P. WHITE TORONTO, Ont., Aug. 29 J. P. White, prominent thoroughbred breeder and barrister of Toronto, died suddenly this morning following a seizure at his Cedarcrest Farm at Highland, Creek. For the past ten years the colors of his stable have been successful on the Canadian turf through the prowess of his "crest" horses, perhaps the most prominent of which has been Star Crest, which finished second to Aymond in the opening day stake at Devonshire Saturday. Besides taking an active part in racing, Mr. White has been one of the most active members and officials of the comparatively recently organized Thoroughbred Breeders Association of Canada. He was also a member of the Ontario Jockey Club and the Scarboro Golf Club. i
