LINCOLN FIELDS NOTES 4- Announcement that the popular "daily . double" would be added to the several features to be introduced during the Lincoln : Fields meeting opening Saturday, met -with a wave of approval, according to Col. M. J. Winn, managing director of the. track. "I have yet to find anyone with other than a fancy for this novel betting feature," the Colonel stated. Tickets on the "double," or combination, will be sold from eight wickets in the main betting enclosure and from two in the club house. Francis Dunne, an employe of the racing department at Lincoln Fields, arrived Monday from Mississippi, where he spent the past few weeks with relatives. Among the stables due, in from Dade Park the next few days are those of Gregory and Unger, James McGee and F. C. McAtee. Work on improvements, inaugurated four weeks ago reached a stage of virtual completion Monday. They include the rearrangements of betting booths in the club house, greater beautification of the club house lawns and terraces, a new approach to the paddock from the track and increase in parking space at the north end or patio section of the srrounds.
