. DEVONSHIRE PARK NOTES 4 - $ B. E. Chapman, T. Sullivan and Jack Whyte are the latest owners to decide on shipping to Syracuse at the conclusion of the Devonshire meeting. Condition books for the Thorncliffe Park meeting were distributed among horsemen at Devonshire Park Monday. Jockey R. Townrow checked in from Niagara Falls and was seen astride Uppity in the third race. Bob Steele, one of starter Palmers assistants, will leave Devonshire Wednesday for Aurora to start schooling at that point. Ladykin, Rattlesnake Tom, Stephanus, Fair Jack and Coral Beach were placed on starter Palmers schooling list opening day. W. L. Brodie is in receipt of a letter from S. S. Phillips of Washington, father of the late jockey Charlie Phillips. Mr. Phillips and family wish to express their thanks to all who helped during their recent bereavement. Richard Kaelker and a party of friends were visitors at Devonshire Monday and plan to stay for a few days. Mr. Kaelker is interested in Oriental Park, Havana, Cuba.
