it SARATOGA TURF NOTES 4 . G. H. "Pete" Bostwick was struck by a flying clod while riding Masked Knight Friday and as a result nursed an injured eye. Thomas Mather has applied for a jockey license and will ride for Mrs. F. Ambrose Clark. John J. Brady reported that the patronage on the special train from New York is keeping up well. Saturdays special brought up a large delegation. John D. Hertz flew up from New York to witness the running of Saturdays card. Tim Mara was among the week-enders from New York. Larry OBrien distributed the condition books for the forthcoming Havre de Grace meeting. Louis Feustel arrived .from Chicago and will pick up several horses to train for the fall meetings. David D. Odell and Mrs. Odell were among the week-end visitors. John F. Curry arrived from New York for the Saturday racing. John McGraw was a club house visitor and will remain over several days. J. Wessler has decided to ship from here to Syracuse for that meeting. Sixteen horses, including brood mares, yearlings and horses in training, were shipped to Porto Rico by E. A. Gonzales, who was an active bidder here at the various sales.
