MANY YEARLINGS IN TRAINING LEXINGTON, Ky., Aug. 28 Manager Hugh Fontaine, of the Shoshone Stud, sent twelve yearlings, the property of W. R. Coe, to the Kentucky Association track. They have been broken and now are to be trained preliminary to trials. Two are by Pompey, one by Polymelian and the others by Hustle On. Manager Fontaine, on Saturday, sold the chestnut filly by Pompey Chrysos to Grover Hughes. She is a sister to Chrysos-tom, winner at Hawthorne Saturday. Thomas Carr Piatt will send in from Crestwood Farm on Thursday, to the Kentucky Association track, ten yearlings, the property of George Wingfields Nevada Stock Farm Stable. They have been broken and are to be made ready for trials and afterward will be turned over to trainer R. F. Carman, Jr. Mr. Piatt is also handling two yearlings for Preston M. Burch. They, like the Wingfield horses, were foaled at Crestwood Farm.
