KEENEY PARK TO OPEN ON j DECEMBER 30 ! i . . 4 NEW YORK, N. Y., Oct. 25. Florida racing on the east coast will begin December 30 at Keeney Park, between Jacksonville and St. Augustine, according to a copyrighted article in the New York Press yesterday. The press quoted Frank A. Keeney, the man who originally was in charge of Keeney Park to the effect that the meeting will run seventeen days until January 18. It was stated that Tom Thorp will be presiding steward, with Gerald Brady agent for the Sagamore Stable and other establishments in charge of the mutuels. The names of the other officials will be announced shortly. Purses will range from a 00 minimum to a maximum not divulged. Keeney also plans a twelve day meeting after the Hialeah Park session from March 13 to 25, inclusive. There may. be an extension of the second meeting if conditions warrant. Both meetings will be in charge of Keeney, with S. N. Holman as business manager.
