C. V. WHITNEY JAMAICA LEADER 4 Heads Owners List at New York Track With ,480 . Glidelia Scores in Two Stake Races and Heads Money Winning List of Horses. The Metropolitan Jockey Club distributed 3,420 during its twelve-day meeting at Jamaica from October 3 to October 15. The daily average was ,118.33 and seventy-two races were decided. C. V. Whitney profited most among the owners and led the winning list with ,480. J. J. Robinson was close behind with ,805 and there was a e considerable gap between second and thirds when the B. B. Stables horses could win only ,450. Glidelia headed the winning list of horses with two victories, two seconds and ,165. Glidelias triumphs came in the October Claiming Handicap and Long Island Claiming Stakes. Halcyon did well by winning ,300, most of it in the Pierrepont Handicap. Pardee, with ,150, and Hell Diver, with ,025, also fared well. Jockey A. Robertson carried off the riding honors by piloting seventeen winners, while the popular "Hank" Mills was scoring with fifteen. Robertsons percentage was much better than Mills, the older boy having a mark of .41, while Mills had .26. They had no other serious rivals. Hirsch Jacobs saddled eight winners and took the training honors. P. B. Codd and James Fitzsimmons were tied for second place with five winners each.
