r - - ------ 1 E. R. BRADLEYS GENEROSITY LEXINGTON, Ky., Oct. 31. Under instructions from Col. E. R. Bradley, who is at Baltimore, Barry Shannon, manager of Idle Hour Farm, is today drawing checks to orphan homes in Kentucky totaling 0,000. This sum represents two-fifths of the amount raised for the Kentucky orphans at the one-day race meeting at Idle Hour Farm last November for their benefit. Each institution will receive a check for two-fifths of the sum it received last year. The checks are being dated November 10, and will be sent out with a personal letter from Colonel Bradley explaining his inability to have the meeting this, year on account of financial conditions throughout the country, and telling them that the gift is from his private funds. Colonel Bradley feels that with reduced costs of food and other things the children will have nearly, if not quite as much, and as good for their Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, as in former years through his bounty. t. a
