HAZEL DENSON, well handled, was taken to the front at the start, set the pace under steadying reserve and held CHATTAHOOCHEE safe while tiring. The latter, a forward factor throughout, challenged gamely and was gradually wearing down the winner. FLYING HEELS II. raced evenly without mishap. SHASTA MINT, away slowly, closed a good gap and finished strong. LA COMPERE was done after going a half mile. INFINITUS was outrun. MILL HAND failed to be a factor after encountering early interference.
