LODORUS, showing early speed, was inclined to bear out on the turn, but continued stubbornly. DONTARA raced well placed and finished gamely. COMING BACK was hard ridden. HAIR TRIGGER began well. PAR VALUE moved into command midway of the turn and, responding resolutely when urged in the closing eighth, came again and outlasted PIETY. The latter sprinted around the others with a rush to take a short lead in the closing eighth, but was not good enough. A claim of foul was lodged against PAR VALUE, which was not allowed. DOESKIN, a factor all the way, outlasted STIMULAW. The latter raced well under strong handling. DAWNCHILD linished well. WILD ROSEBUD showed good speed for three-eiehths. WARGRAVE showed good earlv speed, butr aced green thereafter. CREEK moved up fast going to the eleventh jump, bobbled at the twelfth and landed badly at the final obstacle, then finished gamely. GEORGE JESSEL improved his position steadily while fencing boldly and was reaching the leaders. WILLINGDON was allowed to drop far out of it, but finished gamely. ISOLA- TEUR was never a factor. PROOF POSITIVE was outrun. WAR MIST was done after a mile. DEPART tired. HATBROOM lost his rider at the third fence. NAYLOR lost his rider at the ninth. TECH was pulled up after the tenth jump.
