BRILLIANT LASS was jostled about on the first turn, saved ground in the stretch, but was not good enough. DOROTHY ALICE raced wide on the turn, but closed gamely. RESUBMISSION lost all chance when forced wide on the first turn. CONESTOGA, away well, could not make the turn and tired. BETTY BARRETT, away slowly, saved ground on the turns, withstood a long stretch drive and outlasted BROOKSIE. The latter saved ground on the turns while racing with the leaders, challenged boldly in the stretch and lost a hard race. GYPSIE CHIEF raced well on the first turn, but went wide on the far turn, but came again in the stretch. BETTY BROWNING took the lead going to the first turn and tired from her early efforts. PARADE REST raced evenly. The others had no mishaps. CABOUSE, rank at the post and placed on the outside, saved ground on the turns, took a short lead when LITTLE JOYCE was forced wide, but was not good enough. GREY HIP showed early speed.
