Jockey R. Workman, who will have the . 5 mount on Ladysman in the Kentucky Derby, will arrive Friday. Mrs. A. M. Creechs Timorous and A. A. * Baronis Bamboula, Kentucky Oaks candidates, worked in the mud at the Downs this g morning. Timorous showed a very flashy y. move, going three-quarters in 1:15%, handily, ; and Bamboula breezed five-eighths in 1:08%. A. A. Baronis Waylayer will be fired for jl a splint and as a result will not resume racing for a time. Red Whisk, C. C. Van Meters good three-year-old, which appears to have gone stale, will be freshened up for Washington Park racing. Although they will have no representatives In the Kentucky Derby, the Whitney family will be present at Saturdays renewal of the great old classic. Mrs. Payne Whitney, who won the race with -Twenty Grand in 1931, Mr. and Mrs. John Hay Whitney and Mr. and Mrs. C. V. Whitney and their parties have clubhouse box reservations for the day. Mrs. J. H Whitneys Stepenfetchit was third k to Burgoo King and Economic last year. John T. Early, -vho motored from Cincinnati Monday, is remaining until after the Derby. Charles Bacharach, owner of the Southland Stable, and Mrs. Bacharach are arriving Friday from New Orleans and will remain for the remainder of the meeting. A Derby party arriving this morning included Mrs. R. M. Eastman and her daugh-and their daughter, Grace; F. F. Wilson and ter, Eunice; Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Craddock Lloyd Maxwell, all of Chicago.
