Al Luzader, owner of Lucky Dan, reports that he had the consistent plater fired for ankle trouble and turned him out for the summer at William Bermans farm, which Is located outside of New Orleans, La. Former starter William Snyder, who has [ been serving in an official capacity for the Cattarinich-owned tracks, reported for duty f Monday and was assigned to the patrol . * judge position. Snyder makes his home at Hemitite, 111., during the off season. Jockey Donald McAllister, who had the ; riding assignment on Jorghensen in the first " race Monday, is a British product of Port Talbot, Wales, and was formerly in the employ m of Lord Dunraven. He is now under call to Jesse Bolser, who is racing a small | string at Exposition Park. N. K. Beal brought four head from Lexington. Apprentice J. Stuller came along * r with the shipment and will probably get into action later in the week. Jockey Jimmy Ketry, who has been absent l from the saddle for a year, resumed riding , Monday when he rode the Berman Stables Gold Ridge in the sixth race.
