w !? NEW YORK TURF NOTES | * - * Trainer James Fitzsimmons states that he has several two-year-olds on the shelf with pucked shins. J. P. White motored over from Passaic, N. J., to witness some of his two-year-olds breeze at Aqueduct. Wilbur C. Smith, well known commissioner, arrived from his Kansas City home and .will await the opening at Jamaica. C. "Pies" Quinn, in charge of the division Of the Brookmeade Stable at Belmont Park, was removed to the Jamaica hospital seri-pusly ill. Another draft of horses trained by P. M. Walker arrived from Pimlico and were turned over to Charles Snyder at Belmont Park. This brings the number at the Nassau county course up to twenty-six head. Charles Brady, in addition to galloping horses for James Fitzsimmons, has added the making of racing colors to his duties. M. J. "Mickey" Miles was a visitor at Aqu-duct and watched the morning trials. Chastity, a two-year-old in the George Odom stable, is laid up with bucked shins. Mack Garner is scheduled to return from Havre de Grace and will report back to Henry, McDaniel.
