I PIMLIC0 TURF NOTES J ♦ — * Preston Burch shipped the horses of Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Somerville as well as those of Mr. and Mrs. Walter M. Jeffords from here to Bowie Monday. A. W. Brown, state breeder, has purchased AHenfern at private terms from Joe Edwards of New York. Trainer Joe Patterson has made arrangements to ship the Audley Farms string from here to Chicago Wednesday. The stables good three-year-old Trace Call, which is in Kentucky, will be pointed for the Ohio Derby. A well-known Canadian stable is dickering for the services of the veteran Pat Remil-lard, who is riding in fine form this spring. However, Remillard intends to take in the Bowie and Hagerstown meetings, and will likely go to Rockingham Park, New Hampshire. Books for the latter meeting were distributed among horsemen today. Twelve horses, the property of Willis Sharpe Kilmer, were shipped yesterday to New York. F. A. Griffiths Sarada, one of the choices for the recent Kentucky Derby, which was forced out of the race due to coughing, will be shipped Friday from Churchill Downs to Bowie. Trainer Bill Mulholland has seven of Sar-adas stablemates at Bowie awaiting the opening of the Southern Maryland Agricultural Associations session at 2 p. m. Thursday. He also has five others of the Griffith string quartered at Havre de Grace. Head Play, Preakness winner, was shipped to New York. He left here yesterday. Ladys-man, second in the race, left the Sagamore Farm in the Worthington Valley Monday for New York. Early Monday morning the Brookmeade Stables Inlander and Lee Rosenbergs Kerry Patch, "also rans" in the Preakness, entrained for New York. Poppyman, another Preakness starter, left this morning for New York along with other members of Mrs. John Hay Whitneys string. M. J. Leacy sent his good handicap horse Sweeping Light on to New York. 1
