Bryan, distributed nomination blanks among the horsemen for the forty- ] third running of the Eastern Horse Clubs session on June 15 and 17, inclusive, at Brookline, Mass. Bryan also gave out nomination blanks for the seventh annual meeting on June 19 at Framingham Centre, The Tout is the latest addition to the schooling list. F. A. Carreaud purchased Sea Fox for ,500 from C. L. Gorlii g. Paul Codd of Baltimoie added to his stable when he claimed Lucky Racket at Jamaica for ,500. On Sept. 1, 1933, Alfred Vanderbilt will become of age and the horses racing in the name of the Sagamore Stable will become his property. A keen lover of the thoroughbred, Mr. Vanderbilt proposes to race the horses in his own name and colors. He has requested trainer J. H. Stotler to make no engagements for next season before consulting him, so . it looks as if the Sagamore Stable organization will remain intact. Five old-timers who in years gone by rode winners of the Preakness, were on hand to witness Saturdays running of this famous old classic. They were Tom Costello, who rode Saunterer and Vanguard for George L. Lorillard in 1881 and 1882; Sam Fisher, who rode T. W. Doswells Knight of Ellerslie in 1884 and The Bard for A. J. Cas-satti in 1886; Fred Littlefield, who had the mount on R. W. Waldens Refund in 1888; Willie Doyle, who rode W. T. Ryans Effendi in 1909, and Charlie Peak, who was in the saddle on W. E. Applegates Jack Hare Jr. in 1918. Edward Burke, general manager of the Havre de Grace track, came over from New York to witness the running of the Preakness. He was accompanied by his wife. Mr. and Mrs. John J. McGraw were in the party. Ex-jockey Alfred Johnson, who has been secured to train the horses owned by Grant Renna, a newcomer to racing, will ship the three horses in his care to Bowie. The stable consists of Sublevado, Steelton and Mor-drom. Lew Jenkins is scheduled to ship his recent acquisition, Primlin, which he purchased from W. M. Shewbridge, to Mount Royal Monday. A two-year-old also will be included. A carload of horses numbering sixteen head will depart for Montreal Monday. The shipment is scheduled to unload at Mount Royal and includes the following stables: R. Campbell, G. Taylor, Anthony Allen, D. Smith and L. Jenkins. Trainer W. M. Irvine will strive to win the Inaugural Handicap at Bowie Thursday, next, with Tred Avon and, following her effort in that feature, she will be loaded and shipped to Belmont Park, where she will be made ready for her engagement with C. V. Whitneys sterling filly Top Flight. The horses of the S. W. Labrot stable scheduled for Canadian racing will remain here until the close of Bowie.
