1 HAMILTON, 0NT., NOTES Mrs. Al Livingston, owner of the Pontiac Stock Farm, Cobourg, Ontario, has been an interested spectator during the present meeting at Hamilton. C. Willis, an apprentice rider who accompanied the C. V. Whitney stable to Canada, accepted his first mount in the Dominion when he rode Daisy Cutter in the final race on Saturday for that establishment. William A. Woollatt, major domo of the Devonshire Park Jockey Club, who was a visitor on Friday at Hamilton, announced many applications for stabling quarters for the second summer meeting which begins at the border course on Saturday, August 19. Woollatt was very much pleased with the first session and expects that the approaching meeting will prove considerably better with conditions improving in Detroit. Canterbury Rain, Callous and Port Royal are the latest additions to the schooling list at Hamilton. Joseph E. Martin, secretary of the Niagara Jockey Club, issued warning to horsemen not to ship to Fort Erie unless stabling quarters have been granted them. General manager A. R. Loudon has arranged for extra coaches to be placed in operation on the special trains that will leave Toronto for the Hamilton course on Monday Civic Holiday. Revonah, owned by A. Hullcoat, came out of his race on Friday in lame condition. Frumper, from the W. G. Wilson stable pulled up in the same condition earlier in the week. Secretary J. P. Turner has lengthened out the distance for two-year-olds on the Monday program at Hamilton. The youngsters will be asked to travel the increased six furlongs distance for the first time in Canada this season. Another event over the same route has been carded for the closing day. Charles "Chic" Lang, who staged his comeback in the saddle during the first meeting at Hamilton, is ready to accept mounts at the present session.
