RAIN HALTS SEATTLE RACING SEATTLE, Wash., Aug. 5. A ten-hour" rain storm swamped the new Long Acres race track near here last night and todays racing program was postponed until Monday. The big parks infield was so deep in mud that the management feared that any automobiles parked there would be submerged. The racing strip, hastily graded, also was very deep in mud. The racing plant was built entirely in just twenty-seven days and was completed the day before the 1 meeting opened last Thursday.
