CAVALCADE OUT OF DERBY Time Clock Brookmeade Stable Rep ¬ resentative at Latonia Smiths Plans for Triple Derby Winner Time Clock will be the Brookmeade Sta ¬ bles representative in the Latonia Derby Saturday June 30 according to trainer Bob Smith who made this statement to Col Matt Winn via telephone Sunday evening Cavalcade will be kept at Arlington Park and prepared there for the Classic Stakes his next engagement scheduled to be run July 14 There will be no match race with Equipoise until later in the fall the Travers Stakes following the Classic Stakes in Smiths campaign plans for the triple Derby winner winnerSmith Smith by this statement wipes away the hope of the Arlington Park management of staging probably the greatest turf attraction since the days of the Epinard International i Specials unless they can induce Smith to change his mind in the meantime After the Classic Stakes Cavalcade is to be sent to Saratoga for the Travers TraversWhile While Colonel Winn was disappointed in not persuading Smith to send Cavalcade to Latonia for the Derby he admitted after ¬ ward that without the champion in the field the race will be a more open affair and probably will attract a bigger field He plans to depart for Covington however to stay for the remainder of the Latonia meet ¬ ing
