PESTLE CONNAUGHT SURPRISE Cattarinich Youngster Scores in inJuvenile Juvenile Purse at Ottawa Weather and Track at Best OTTAWA Ont June 25 Juveniles held the place of prominence on the fifth days card at the Connaught Park Jockey Club track The second event called the Juvenile Purse brought out a field of seven to race five furlongs The six supporting events were all well filled and produced keen com ¬ petition A large crowd was on hand for the sport with ideal weather and the track was at its best bestIn In the Juvenile Purse Pestle racing for J Cattarinich proved a mild surprise when he outlasted C Bisculas Silent Don in a thrilling finish after a drive that lasted from soon after the start to the finish Chortle installed as favorite was in third place two and a half lengths back and a nose before Mrs L A Dalys Marylitch MarylitchStarter Starter Richey after a fourminute delay caused by Leo D got the field away awayPestle Pestle took the lead in the first furlong closely followed by Silent Don with Mary ¬ litch in third place before Chortle ChortleThe The two leaders raced together on the turn and into the back stretch Inside the furlong post Silent Don moved up on even terms with the winner but tired and Pestle again drew away to have a neck advantage at the finish Marylitch which raced in third place throughout tired slightly in the stretch and was nosed out for tihrd place in the final strides by Chortle
