ROCKINGHAM PARK OFFERS 76,300 IN PURSES j SALEM, N. H., April 11. With 76,300 in purses, the spring meeting of the New Hampshire Breeders Association, which will open at Rockingham Park May 15 and close June 17, will be marked by two outstanding races with 0,000 added, as well as ten other stake events ranging in value from ,500 to ,000. The stake card is by far the most elaborate ever offered in New England and as usual has been arranged by H. "Jim" Monroe, racing secretary, who expects all the leading racing establishments in the country- to make a bid to pull down the major share of these rich events. The feature races of the meeting will be conducted on Decoration Day and June 15. The opening day feature will be known as the Speed Handicap, with ,000 added money. The May 30 feature will be known as the Decoration Day Handicp, a mile and a sixteenth test for three-year-olds and upward, with 0,000 added. Another event of equal value will be the Rockingham Park Handicap, June 15, a mile and an eighth test for three-year-oMs and upward. During the meeting at Rockingham, no purse will be offered less than 00, while twenty purses of ,500 affe on the card and twenty-nine purses of ,200. In addition, eighty-six purses of ,000 already have been written by the secretary.
