1 BAY MEADOWS NOTES J s Frank Leighninger, racing secretary for the Western Fairs Association, has "announced the California Fairs racing dates. Stockton begins the circuit on August 17, states Leighninger, with the state fair at Sacramento next and then seventeen days of racing at Pomono during the Los Angeles county fair. Upwards of 700 horses have been registered by Webb Everett, racing secretary for the Tanforan meeting that begins on April 20, immediately following the close of Bay Meadows. On Wednesday morning the large and powerful stable of A. A. Baroni was assigned stalls, owner-trainer Baroni deciding to remain for the Tanforan meeting before shipping to Detroit on May 20. Top Row, worlds record holder for the mile and a sixteenth which mark the son of Peanuts established at Bay Meadows last " fall, will head the Baroni establishment in which string are such good ones as Sand Cloud, Hardatit, Piety, Glodazz, Sun Archer, Flying Sailor, Morning Mail, Ann ORuley, Waylayer and others. W. F. Taylor, Kentucky horseman who has been visiting on the coast has departed for Lexington, Ky.
