EL CAJON raced on the outside of the leaders throughout, went wide entering the stretch, but came with a rush nearing the end and reached the front in the last few yards. TOLTEC displayed the most speed to the last sixteenth and held on well. DIXIE BEE broke slowly, but closed much ground and finished strongly. FORCEFUL slipped through next to the inner rail entering the stretch and reached a contending position an eighth out, but tired when the final test came. WESTYS TWINKLE, a forward factor all the way, held the others safe. PRINCESS BLACK was a victim of wretched handling and was under stout restraint most of the trip. POTENTIAL raced evenly. DISPORT, fractious at the post, closed much ground in the last quarter. TARPON tired. The others were outrun. MISS ALPHONSO worked her way up next to the inner rail at the far turn and drew away decisively through the stretch. MY IONE closed a tremendous gap and came strongly during the run home. BUDDYS CHOICE weakened when the final test came. CHANA closed some ground after being shuffled back after the 1 start came. HAGERMAN went very wide at the first turn and was going well at the end when too late. SOLETTE acted badly at the post, but closed ground. The others tired.
