| LEXINGTON TURF NOTES ] 4 • At the office of the Kceneland Association Saturday, it was announced by chairman William R. Embry, of the committee of citizens soliciting subscriptions for stock in the new racing enterprise, that 726 shares have been subscribed for locally. The par value of the stock is 00, so this amounts to a subscription of 2,600 of the 50,000 capitalization. The expectation of president Hal Price Headley and his associates in the project is that at least 25,000 will be taken by citizens of the Blue Grass region. Frank C. Podesta shipped to Memphis. Tenn., his home, the mares My Step and Wild Mint, purchased from Coldstream Stud, and three yearlings, purchased from Samuel M. Look of Castleton Farm. The mares Biddy Gal and Tetrarchs Captive, and the latters filly foal by Black Servant were shipped by Horace N. Davis to New York Monday, to go on steamer for England June 26. I
